When is strawberry season in Korea?

The strawberry season in South Korea is in winter, usually from November to April.

Good to know: The Korean word for strawberry is “ddalki” (딸기).

Korean strawberries are soft and sweet, and especially popular in places like Thailand, Guam, Russia, and Japan. In recent years, strawberries from South Korea have become a booming export hit.

That’s why you can now also find them in North America and parts of Europe because of their sweet taste and vibrant color.

Because of their huge popularity, strawberry season is a big deal in Korea, with local bakeries and cafés creating special baked goods and beverages. Large restaurants and hotels even hold strawberry dessert buffets, like the “Stay Berry Sweet” event at Conrad Seoul.

Welcome To “Stay Berry Sweet”

For the past strawberry seasons, Conrad Seoul has offered the “Stay Berry Sweet” strawberry dessert buffet to their guests and anyone interested in experience this sweet event. The event is open to any hotel guests and locals who simply want to enjoy the food.

Is it only Desserts?

The buffet does not only include delicious sweet desserts but also a selection of Italian food and drinks. This typically includes oven-baked pizza, various pasta dishes, Caprese, and light salads. For drinks, you have the choice between different teas and coffees (included in the price), as well as sparkling, white and red wines. For the wines, they offer an “all-you-can-drink” package for 20,000 KRW per person.

Where is the Strawberry Dessert Buffet happening?

The event takes place at the Atrio restaurant second floor of the hotel. This is also the place where you can have a beautiful indoor wedding at Conrad Seoul.

The seating area is very large but offers quite intimate seating arrangements. The high ceilings and large windows invite the sunlight into the room for a bright and friendly atmosphere.

The dessert buffet is arranged on an elevated area at the end of the room in front of a green wall decorated with neon lights spelling out “Stay Berry Sweet”.
