During Christmas in Korea, the whole area of Myeongdong is coated in twinkling lights. The two main department stores, Shinsegae and Lotte, compete over who has the most extravagant Christmas set-up – and they love to outdo each other year after year.
This year, it’s hard to choose a winner as both have decorated their storefronts absolutely beautifully.

COEX Starfield Library, Gangnam
Every year, Starfield Library located in the center of COEX Mall features beautiful holiday decorations. From a large Christmas tree made of 14,000 books to a tree with a polar bear family that looks like they are straight out of a fairy tale, the Starfield Library at COEX Mall celebrates every Christmas season with a variety of trees.
