Are you visiting Seoul and looking for a hotel with innovative amenities, indulgent dining and stunning Han River and skyline views? Conrad Seoul checks all of these boxes. I recently had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful hotel for a weekend staycation and absolutely loved my experience.

About Conrad Seoul

Conrad Seoul is situated in the Yeouido Business District, which is also a prime location for cherry blossom viewings in the spring. The 434-room hotel is connected to Yeouido Station (subway line 5 and line 9) and is located right next to the IFC designer mall. Seoul city center and Myeongdong shopping district are about 10 km away from Conrad Seoul.

Conrad Spa Seoul is a popular place to locals and visitors alike to enjoy relaxing massages, facials, hydrotherapy and couple treatments. The Wellness Zone of the hotel, which is open to all guests free of charge, features a large heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and a large fitness center.

Conrad Seoul is also a great place to host meetings, conventions and weddings.

ROOMS AT A GLANCE

During my stay at Conrad Seoul, I stayed in their Grand King Executive Corner Suite Room, which is the ideal option for modern travelers seeking extra space and luxury.

The suite truly felt like a home-away-from-home – only better. With a total 96-square-meter space, the Grand King Executive Corner Suite is the largest suite in its class in all of Seoul. The best part of the room must be the breathtaking 180-view of Seoul, including landmarks such as Han River, Namsan Tower, the 63 building, and even Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in Korea.

The room is separated into a living room area and a bedroom and also features a large walk-in closet and an even more stunning bathroom. Bathroom amenities from Shanghai Tang and smart technology, such as a Dyson hairdryer really add to the experience.

Of course, the room has a very good Wi-Fi connection and also comes with a handful of smart technology multimedia and entertainment services alongside an in-room Nespresso coffee machine for a true home-away-from-home feel.

In addition, this room also comes with complimentary Executive Lounge access, where you can enjoy complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails on the 27th floor with stunning views of Seoul city.

RESTAURANTS AND DINING

Conrad Seoul invites you to discover a world of tantalizing indulgence, variety and sophistication at their four dining and lounge venues. Whether you are staying at Conrad Seoul or are are looking for some delicious food experience in Seoul, you’re definitely at the right address!

Breakfast at Conrad Seoul

Breakfast at Conrad Seoul

Breakfast at Conrad Seoul is served from 6:30 to 10:30 at Zest. I prefer Western breakfast choices, such as egg, bacon, pancakes, yogurt and fruit, while my husband likes a more traditional Asian/Korean meal in the morning. Both of us absolutely loved the options available at Conrad Seoul – so no matter what your preference, you won’t leave your breakfast table with an empty stomach!

Executive Club members can also have breakfast at the Executive Lounge on the 27th floor.

VVertigo Rooftop Bar

Vvertigo is a really cool bar on the 9th floor of Conrad Seoul and consists of an outdoor bar and an Indoor Bar. It’s a great place to grab some drinks after work and also to have a good time with friends on their DJ nights. They serve a variety of creative dishes prepared by the hotel chef, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, signature cocktails and craft beers.

I love all things matcha (green tea powder) and so I tried their “VV Cloud” cocktail, which is green tea infused gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup, cream, egg white, green tea powder and soda. It was like a refreshing version of matcha latte with alcohol – simply divine.

For dinner, we ordered pork Piadinas (a thin Italian flatbread), assorted fried meat (lamp chops, chicken thighs, beef spheres), and truffle fries with a ridiculously delicious wasabi mayonnaise. The food was truly superb – like a creative, high-end take on staple bar food.

Strawberry Dessert Buffet

The strawberry dessert buffet at Conrad Seoul was definitely the highlight of my staycation. Atrio is not only one of the best addresses for Italian food in Seoul but also offers an amazing strawberry dessert buffet during strawberry season in Korea (from November to April).

During this time, guests get to indulge in a variety of strawberry desserts, as well as savory dishes such as pizza and pasta. The buffet is open for two rounds, the first one running from 12:30 to 14:30 and the second one running from 15:00 to 17:00 every Saturday and Sunday. The strawberry dessert buffet at Conrad Seoul is extremely popular so reservations are advised.

  • Period: Every Saturday and Sunday from January 11 until March 29
  • Time: Part 1: 12:30-14:30 / Part 2: 15:00-17:00
  • Price: Adults 59,000 won / Children: 40,000 won
  • Location: Atrio / 2nd floor

Indoor Swimming Pool

I love when city hotels feature a large pool – and Conrad Seoul‘s pool definitely doesn’t disappoint. The heated swimming pool is quite large and located on the 9th floor. Half of the swimming pool is reserved for those wanting to swim laps, while the other half is for a more relaxed swim experience.

Come and stay at Conrad Seoul

If you are looking for a luxurious city stay on Seoul‘s Yeouido island, Conrad Seoul will not disappoint. The excellent guest services, beautiful interior as well as the great location right next to IFC Mall are the perfect combination for a blissful getaway.
