START WITH WAT CHANG LOM

One of the most beautiful sights in Sukhothai is Wat Chang Lom! The most famous feature of this historical park is an iconic bell-shaped stupa. You can enjoy 39 astoundingly gorgeous elephants all around the base of this temple!

Be sure to pack your camera to take a few snapshots of yourself alongside these ancient sculptures, and enjoy the splendors of this one of a kind site.

EXPERIENCE BLISS AT WAT PHRA PAI LUANG

Bask in the peaceful ambiance of the elegant ruins at Phra Pai Luang! The site dates back to the late 12th-century, making this one of Sukhothai’s most mysterious and ancient ruin spots.

Sukhothai Itinerary: Day 3

This is the last day, so I have saved a steller site to be the main highlight! Enjoy an unforgettable journey through Sukhothai’s most famous landmark.

This stunningly well-decorated restaurant offers a deck where you can enjoy a filling breakfast with a view. You can also enjoy premium coffee blends!

START AT SUKHOTHAI HISTORICAL PARK

The famous Sukhothai Historical Park is a UNESCO world heritage site, and pays tribute to a vast array of mind-blowing temples and ruins that date back many many years! You can see an abundance of beauty and symbolism, allowing you to dive into the ever-engrossing history of the Thai culture.

As well as all of this, you will be surrounded by untamed nature and see some of the native plant varieties of Thailand! This park is one of the best places to visit in Sukhothai.

VIEW WAT SI CHUM

Among many of the unparalleled wonders of Sukhothai Historical Park, Wat Si Chum is one of the most popular! You can’t visit this park and miss out on an opportunity to take in this archeological miracle.

It is also called “Temple of Budhi Tree” and you can feast your eyes on a massive seated Buddha sculpture. This site is rich with history and stands as a living monument to the past that Thailand, as a whole, has witnessed and passed through.


RELAX AT SARITPHONG DAM

Also known as Phra Ruang Dam, this is a special place that holds a lot of value if you want to experience the joys of Sukhothai’s vegetation and wild nature. It offers a place to unwind away from crowds and is a secluded natural paradise.

Stroll along the banks to take in the dam, then find a comfy spot to sit down with a picnic, and watch as the sun sets in the horizon of the lush mountainscape. Picturesque, peaceful, and regenerative, you won’t regret taking this time to reflect on the past 3 days!


BONUS: ONLY ON SUNDAYS – SUKHOTHAI NIGHT MARKET

Depending on when you travel to this blessing of a province, you can take part in the bustling Sukhothai Night Market and enjoy Thai traders doing their thing! This is a gathering place for the whole of Sukhothai and is exceedingly popular.

It’s set near the river of the city. The market makes for an excellent and fun Sunday night activity! Enjoy a variety of food stalls, vendors, dancing and musical performances.
