As I care a lot about the environment, I was especially pleased to find out that Hotel ICON takes the topic very seriously as well and adopt the latest innovation and technologies. For example, they have installed a special filtration and purification water system in their guestrooms to reduce the use of plastic bottles.

On top of that, Hotel ICON also has eco-friendly bathroom amenities and laundry bags. Even the hotel shuttle bus has been fully electric since 2012. Last but not least, Hotel ICON also donates all surplus edible food items from their restaurants to Food Angels, an organization that provides healthy food for local families in need.

Sweet Treats at GREEN

If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend checking out the afternoon tea option at GREEN on the ground floor of Hotel ICON. The afternoon tea set is changing regularly to bring new and exciting flavors onto the tables.

When I was there at the beginning of 2019, the afternoon tea set was “cacao” themed with lots of rich chocolate-y treats. Even if you aren’t staying at Hotel ICON, you should still check out this delicious afternoon tea set when in Hong Kong!

Breakfast Buffet At Hotel ICON

While breakfast is served at The Market on the second floor of Hotel ICON, club members can also enjoy breakfast on the 28th floor with stunning views of the Harbour. Hotel ICON’s breakfast buffet has been named “Best Buffet in Hong Kong” for seven years in a row by OpenRice, Hong Kong’s most popular food guide.

Freshly baked pastries, organic eggs station, dim sum, congee, and stir-fried noodles, there’s something here for everyone! I also loved the selection of gluten-free breads and pastries for those with dietary restrictions. On top of that, we also tried the French Toast and were absolutely blown away by it!
