Strawberry Afternoon Tea in Seoul At Park Hyatt Seoul

During the current strawberry season in South Korea, you can get your hands on the delicious “Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set” from January until the end of April. This three-tier tray offers a great selection of strawberry sweets and savories along with some delicious tea and coffee options. On top of that, the afternoon tea set is served at the Lounge on the 24th floor, a beautiful open space with amazing views of Gangnam.

I chose Hadong Jookro, a special kind of green team from Hadong in South Korea where the tea leaves are grown between bamboo trees. The tea tasted just as fancy as it sounds and has a truly unique aroma. The sweet and savory treats were all exquisite and the quality was very good for the price.

Here’s a list of what was included in my afternoon tea set:

• Vegetable tart (bell pepper, onion, mushroom, green pea puree, berry vinaigrette, salad)
• Smoked salmon éclair (smoked salmon, cream cheese, dill, red onion, cucumber)
• Bacon & prawn meat sandwich (strawberry bread, mascarpone, Korean chives)
• Egg sandwich (malcha bread, baked egg, dijon mustard)

SWEET TREATS

• Freshly baked scones and fresh fruit
• Strawberry inspiration (Linzer torte, strawberry cheese cream, raspberry pearl, meringue)
• Strawberry opera (mascarpone, strawberry gel, chocolate, mint)
• Strawberry parfait bar (Omija jelly, vanilla cream, strawberry compote, Chantilly cream)
• Strawberry bonbon (Kirsch ganache, strawberry crispy pearl, gold powder)
• Strawberry heart cake (blueberry, red glaze, strawberry chocolate, pannacotta cream, cookie)

The tea, coffee and drink selection is also very good and includes a great variety of Korean and international teas, coffee and other hot and cold beverages. The drinks will also be continuously refilled thorughout the afternoon tea.

Enjoy a Break Between Sightseeing!

The Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set at Park Hyatt Seoul is perfect to relax in between sightseeing. It’s also great for a relaxing afternoon with girlfriends or to take your special someone out on a unique date (Valentine’s is fast approaching!). I also loved the fact that you can enjoy afternoon tea with incredible views of Gangnam – you can even see Bongeunsa Temple from up there!

I recommend booking your Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set in advance as it is often fully booked, especially on weekends – also remember that the strawberry themed set only runs from January until the end of April. During other months of the year, Park Hyatt Seoul offers other versions of their popular afternoon tea.
