ABOUT Rosewood Beijing
Rosewood Beijing is the first China property for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, reflecting the compelling culture, history and geography of China’s capital. Located in Beijing’s central business district of Chaoyang, Rosewood Beijing is surrounded by urban skyscrapers, such as the famous CCTV Headquarters building, and high-end shopping malls. The Rosewood Beijing offers everything you dream of and more, which is why it was named 2017 Number One Top Hotels in China by CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER.
Rosewood is renowned for creating one-of-a-kind properties in some of the world’s most desirable destinations. A Sense of Place journeys allow guests to immerse themselves in the essence of these exciting cities with unique, private experiences. –Rosewood Hotels
FIRST-CLASS SERVICE
The service culture in China is a unique one. Reading countless expats’ and tourists’ experiences when traveling to China, the lack of ‘attentiveness’ usually comes up very quickly. That’s why I was so pleased by the top-knotch service the staff at Rosewood Beijing provided during my stay. The staff is very international and possess a native-speaker level of English – not at all common when staying in China.
During my entire stay I always felt as though the staff was trying to provide me with the best and most relaxing experience possible. Even when I checked out, the concierge gave me a bottle of water to stay hydrated on my journey.
The Look
For me, it was the seamless combination of traditional and modern Chinese elements that caught my eye. A sense of sleek openness is conveyed by the high ceilings and tall windows in the lobby. At every turn, there were purposefully placed elements of modern and traditional Chinese art pieces, from calligraphy brushes to large modern paintings of traditional sceneries. The dimmed lights transmit a cozy feeling that makes you want to stay and never leave.
Club Premier Room AT A GLANCE
As soon as I set foot into this 50-square-meter room I noticed the amazing view of the iconic CCTV Tower. I also fell in love with the large walk-in closet, which kept my luggage perfectly arranged and organized during my stay. The large bathroom even had its own TV in the mirror so that I could get ready while catching up on the latest news. The large bathtub was another highlight that added to the overall comfort of the room.
All over the room, you’d find Chinese art, books, and accessories pleasing the eye. The large desk is perfect for those who need to catch up on some work and the seating area is big enough for a family to enjoy some afternoon tea. The leather-covered chaise lounger faces the bustling area of Chaoyang, as does the king size bed. I was also impressed with the smart technology of the room, including:
- 50″ LCD smart TV
- Blueray DVD player
- Bluetooth music station
- Samsung soundbar speaker system
- Complimentary high-speed WiFi and broadband Internet access
- Nespresso coffee machine
- In-room safe
- Individual climate control
- Bedside control panel for lighting, AC and drapes

Guests can enjoy facilities such as a pool table, a bar counter, as well as plenty of seating areas. There is also a business area and a meeting room facility for business affairs.
The best part about Manor Club, for me personally, is the round-the-clock food service. From 6:30 in the morning up until 7:30 PM, guests have the chance to grab a bite and relax in between their business meetings and/or travels.
Breakfast buffet: 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Hotel Restaurants
There are six restaurants on-site at the Rosewood Beijing. Whether you are looking for traditional Peking duck or Western flavors, you can find all of it right here at the Rosewood.
COUNTRY KITCHEN
Chef Leo and his team present an array of carefully prepared local dishes from Northern China at Country Kitchen. The open kitchen features a wood-roasting oven where crispy Peking ducks are put on display. Here, you can also bear witness to the old Chinese tradition of hand-pulling noodles. In the summer, guests can also dine on an outdoor terrace. Country Kitchen resembles a sophisticated version of a village restaurant featuring granite and wood elements paired with beautiful oil paintings.
My personal highlight was the Peking Duck, which was cut by one of the talented chefs right next to our table. I had been to a Peking Duck restaurant before but have to say that Country Kitchen offers a much more delicious and sophisticated experience. For example, I learned that you traditionally dip the crispy skin in sugar. What a festival of flavors in my mouth!
RED BOWL
Soon after Rosewood Beijing opened, its hot pot restaurant RED BOWL quickly caught on with guests and locals alike. Today, it is one of the hottest locations for the simmering delight. Again, the open layout of the restaurant makes you become part of the adventure. The signature red dishes add to the hip flair. A large bar counter is the center of the restaurant featuring individual hot pot sets for the guests. You will also find more intimate seating arrangements to the left and right.

THE HOUSE OF DYNASTIES
This authentic Cantonese restaurant offers the finest dim sum and other regional dishes from China’s south. The House Of Dynasties is particularly popular for private celebrations as it features seven private dining rooms, each one dedicated to a Chinese dynasty. While private chefs can prepare Cantonese meals at the cooking stations in each room, you can also order from set menus or à la carte dishes in the private dining rooms and public restaurant area.
BISTROT B
Who doesn’t love a good French bistro? Head to Bistrot B at Rosewood Beijing for a taste of Europe. Moreover, Bistrot B also offers live cooking performances and wine tasting events. The open kitchen lets you watch the international chefs create sophisticated dishes over a wood-fired oven, grill or a large wok. Bistrot B is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
BISTROT B LOUNGE BAR
The perfect place to enjoy some afternoon tea at Rosewood has got to be Bistrot B Lounge & Bar. Located right next to the grand entrance of the hotel, guests can enjoy fresh croissants and breads, afternoon tea with cakes and sweets and rose champagne, as well as other sweet treats at any time of the day.
MEI
Live musicians and DJs add to the vibrant atmosphere at MEI, the cocktail and tapas bar at Rosewood Beijing. Besides cocktails, you can also find a large selection of whiskeys and wines here. In the summer, guests can also sit outdoors and enjoy spectacular views of Chaoyang District with the Beijing CCTV Tower in the center. MEI is the ideal place for a nightcap after a tiring day of exploring Beijing.
THE SWIMMING POOL
Another highlight at Rosewood Beijing is the indoor swimming pool with a domed glass roof on the 6th floor of the hotel. This green oasis in the middle of bustling Beijing is open from 6 AM to 11 PM and offers an 830-square-meter-large heated pool. There is also a hot jacuzzi for especially cold winter days. Exotic plants add to the outdoorsy atmosphere and the staff provides guests with complimentary snacks and drinks.

THE SPA “SENSE”
Also on the 6th floor, Sense is the exclusive spa at Rosewood Beijing. There are various relaxing treatments you can choose from and the spa experts will also create tailor-made treatments specifically for your body and needs. Whether you are looking for a rejuvenating treatment or a relaxing massage before bed, Sense offers all that and more.
THE FITNESS CENTER
The indoor gym is open 24/7 and features Technogym and cardio equipment as well as weights. The running machines are equipped with VISIOWEB, allowing you to surf the web, play games and watch TV doing your workout. Cold wet towels are a welcome extra treat during and after workouts. On top of that, the gym also features a relaxing area with complimentary fresh juices and tea.
Now It’s Your Turn To Check In At Rosewood Beijing
A timeless blend of Chinese heritage and modernity, Rosewood Beijing impressed me with its elegant rooms and impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible, which they completely achieved.
