Living in Asia, the options for beautiful honeymoon destinations are abundant and in the end, we decided to head to Boracay. For our honeymoon in Boracay we chose to stay at The Lind, a 5-star resort offering coastal luxury at White Beach.

Double Room with Garden View and Private Pool
For our 7-night stay at The Lind Boracay, we decided to book two rooms to get the most out of the experience. During the first three nights, we stayed in a lovely double room with garden view and a private pool on the beach level. The spacious room has a large double bed and a living room area with flat-screen TV, a personal safe and a minibar. The bathroom offers shower facilities, toiletries, and a hairdryer. The outside part of the room features a private dipping pool and a large outdoor seating area, covering a total area of 58 m².
Suite with Sea View and Private Pool
We spent the remaining four nights in a suite with sea view and a private pool on the 3rd floor. Facing the beautiful oceanfront, we were rewarded with a fantastic sunset every evening right from our balcony. The interior of the suite was a lot similar to the garden room but a lot bigger with 87 m². We were especially in love with the large balcony featuring a seating area, a large double sun bed and a big private pool.

First-Class Service
Our expectations of five-star service at The Lind in Boracay were absolutely met, if not exceeded. We arrived at Kalibo airport around 8PM and were greeted by a The Lind staff member in the arrival area. Two hours later, we arrived at The Lind and were welcomed by smiling faces offering us a delicious local drink that brought us into vacation mode. From that moment on, the staff at The Lind had continued to impress us. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day and we received daily snacks and sweets, such as freshly baked cakes and cookies or fresh juice.
For easy navigation across Boracay Island, The Lind provides a free shuttle bus service to and from Station 2, the center of Boracay several times a day. We took advantage of the shuttle service quite a few times and the drivers were always on time.
Common Areas
Even if you don’t book a room with a private pool, you can still take a dip in one of the pools on the beach level, as well as in the infinity pool on the lobby level. The beach level features a variety of different pools and a jacuzzi. There are also life vests available for guests, as well as numerous sun beds you are free to use.
Besides the pools and cozy sun beds, the beach level also features two restaurants, Tartine and Crust. The former offers all-day dining options specializing in open-faced sandwiches and an array of delectable dishes. Tartine also offers an extensive breakfast buffet from 6:30AM to 10AM.
If you are looking for delicious comfort, Crust is your best option. You can also order drinks and meals from both restaurants and enjoy them by the pool or at the beach. The infinity pool area is the best place to catch the sunset. Here, you can also enjoy delicious cocktails the whole day. The lobby bar +36 is a wonderful place for afternoon tea and it will also be the first place you’ll see upon arriving when they serve you a local welcome drink.
Moreover, the Lind is equipped with a fitness center and a kid’s club offering exciting activities, such as Origami classes, storytelling and painting, to the young guests while their parents enjoy some alone time.
The Spa
One of our favorite places at The Lind was the spa. This is a place where you can enjoy 5-star signature massages and treatments. We had a total of three massages at The Lind during our one-week stay. You can choose between various massages, including Swedish, Shiatsu, Combination, Aromatherapy, traditional Hilot, and many more.
I especially liked the traditional Hilot massage, pronounced HEE-lot. This ancient Filipino art of hands-on healing involves intuition and massage. Many Filipinos still seek the advice and therapy of a Manghihilot (Hilot practitioner) as an alternative to a medical doctor today.

The Beach
The Lind Boracay is located on White Beach, the prestige beach area of Boracay. I appreciated that the hotel beach itself isn’t too big so it felt a lot more relaxed. However, you can easily venture off and explore White Beach on foot. Vendors will also offer paddle or sailboats for rent right at the beach.
Hotel staff constantly make sure that only hotel guests are on the property and frequently ask for people’s room numbers. On top of that, hotel staff provide you with fresh towels and serve drinks and food if you get hungry.

BBQ Night
Tuesday and Thursday are for BBQ at The Lind! Twice a week, you can enjoy grilled seafood and meats along with a Filipino inspired buffet right at the beach. To top things off, a live band performs during the event. If you aren’t into the buffet, you can also order from an a la carte menu and they will grill it in front of you.
Romantic Dinner For two
If you prefer something a bit more intimate, you can book a romantic dinner for two! The professional chefs at The Lind will create a unique menu tailored to you and your other half. The dinner is served on the Lobby Level either next to the Infinity pool with beach views or in one of the white gazebos between the infinity pool and the +36 café and bar. Whichever location you choose, you will be spoiled with a romantic course menu by a personal waiter. On your honeymoon or not, this is an experience you shouldn’t miss!
