Even though it’s not the highest peak of the Bavarian Alps, you will be rewarded with some of the most breathtaking views over the area. Buy a roundtrip ticket for €15.50 and enjoy the views as you ascend the ropeway. On the foot of the mountain is a lovely spa called “Mountain Wave”, where you can go after climbing the mountain for free with a combined ticket for €17. It’s so easy to forget the countryside when you’re in a big city. I love how you’ve given all the relevant information on the train and how to take this trip.

Great post, thanks for sharing. Will be sure to check this out next time I’m in Germany 🙂

I had the hardest time trying to pronounce “Oberammergau”! Haha. This really does look amazing though – would you recommend taking the lift up and hiking down?

Hi Flo! I haven’t done the hike down because I was with my grandparents at the time but I think it’s a great idea to hike down! Yeah, some German words are hard to pronounce hehe
