I was pleasantly surprised about the perfect amount of technology used in the room. You can regulate the lighting via a touch panel at the door or next to the bed. The bed itself is a special oil bed which is adjustable according to your preference. Each room is equipped with a Microsoft tablet containing information on the hotel, breakfast hours, transportation and more. You can also easily go online with the tablet using the complimentary Internet. The tablet was especially useful to research local attractions as I did not bring my laptop with me.

I especially loved the central location of Derag Livinghotel am Viktualienmarkt. Located right on the famous Munich market, visitors have easy access to public transportation with the subway station “Marienplatz” only a few minutes away. The Viktualienmarkt is a daily food market and a square in the center of the city dating back to 1807. Still today, it’s a major hub for food lovers and locals to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables. Many of the rooms of Derag Livinghotel offer perfect views of the entire market. How stunning is this?

My room featured a nespresso coffee maker, Microsoft tablet, a 32-inch flat-screen TV and a multifunctional remote to regulate the lights and temperature of the room. My personal highlight of each room are the super comfortable “Ölvital Brand” beds – allowing guests to sleep in an ergonomically ideal position. Guests get 2 free beers and 2 free bottles of water from their minibar. Room rates start at EUR 138 per night.

Luxury at its best! I particularly liked the backdrop wallpaper of the bedroom. And the other facilities are also top notch. I will definitely check this hotel out when visiting Germany
