Seoul is a vibrant city with countless accommodation options for all budgets. It can be tough finding a suitable hotel in a great location with comfortable rooms and a reasonable price. Hotel MAUI in Dongdaemun, Seoul, seems to be the perfect example of that kind of accommodation. I recently had the opportunity to stay overnight in Seoul in this cool location and can recommend anyone looking for budget accommodation in Seoul to book a room at wonderful Hotel MAUI.

Here’s why you should choose to stay at Hotel MAUI in Seoul:

Comfortable Rooms

Hotel MAUI‘s rooms are clean, spacious and modernly furnished. I also loved the private bathroom with a large shower that was separated from the sleeping area by a small entrance room where you can leave your outdoor shoes. I stayed at a double room which featured a mounted flat-screen TV, a small fridge, a hair dryer and a mirror and vanity table.

The bathroom is almost as big as the room itself and has fresh smelling body wash, shampoo and conditioners. I enjoyed that the room was modestly decorated with beautiful bright yellow pillows. On top of that, I got cute cat slippers to wear when in the room.

Location and Access

The location of the hotel is very convenient. Dongmyo subway station is only a few minutes of walking away from the hotel. Hotel MAUI is located in the Dongdaemun area in the middle of a local market area. On your way from the subway to the hotel, you will pass various street vendors selling antiques, military clothes, shoes and a lot more. I also loved that there were several convenient stores near the hotel so that I could stock up on drinks and snacks.

Staying at Hotel MAUI, you can easily reach the popular bustling area of Dongdaemun within a 15-minute walk along the famous stream of Seoul. I love exploring a city on foot rather than getting in and out of subway stops. Walk from place to place and you will come across much more interesting hidden places. Staying right at Dongdaemun can be quite pricey, so Hotel MAUI is the perfect location for your travels in Seoul – close to attractions but easy on your wallet!
